As a paranormal researcher, you hear many tales of bizarre encounters by other researchers and the public. Things that are certainly hard to believe. But, being a paranormal researcher, you should keep your mind open to all possibilities. Paranormal researchers should not wear blinkers; our eyes and our minds should always be wide open.
I always had an open mind, but wasn’t fully convinced about The Rake until my friends went on paranormal investigation tour to the USA in 2003.
They travelled around for two months camping, investigating, and catching up with family. Marla came back with footage of her investigations overseas. Two weeks after she’d arrived home back in Australia, she called me absolutely shaken.
Marla wanted me to come over and review some footage she’d caught while camping in the USA. They went from town to town camping, and covered some incredible country in the time they were away.
I went over to Marla and Cabal’s house, and Marla popped on this video of where they were camping as they filmed overnight when they were asleep.
This weird, thin, naked looking humanoid, similar to the Rake legends, was walking around their camp site and moving extremely awkwardly. This ‘Rake’ was hanging out around my friends tent. I’d never ever seen anything like it. They were staying with a cousin of hers who lived on a native American reserve.
The strange thing was that night Cabal had horrendous nightmares that he was being attacked by a creature with huge black eyes and long hands like knives.
I was in shock, as my friends are very honest researchers so I knew that what I was witnessing had not been faked.
The hands on this being were large, and looked exactly like rakes. Like the Edward Scissorhands of paranormal.
I honestly had never seen anything like it. It was bizarre, to say the least. It was about 7 feet tall, maybe taller, and it towered above their tent. It walked around the tent for about 10 minutes, then awkwardly walked off.
They only reviewed the footages of their trip when they arrived home. They were rattled.
